Diddy promises to fight sex trafficking charges “with all his might”

The founder of Bad Boy Records wants to plead not guilty, according to his lawyer

Following the disgraced music mogul's arrest, his lawyer Marc Agnifilo spoke outside a Manhattan courthouse on Tuesday and promised that Combs would fight the allegations “with all his energy and strength.” People Magazine.

Combs, 54, faces charges including sex trafficking, organized crime and transportation for the purpose of prostitution after he was arrested by federal agents on September 16.

Agnifilo stressed that Combs had cooperated with authorities, noting, “He came to New York to go to court and file the case.”

Combs plans to plead not guilty.

The indictment, unsealed Tuesday, accuses Combs of running a criminal enterprise and engaging in heinous acts including forced labor, kidnapping and sex trafficking. The indictment alleges that he “abused, threatened and coerced women” to satisfy his desires while attempting to protect his image.

The founder of Bad Boy Records was arrested at his Manhattan hotel. Agents of Homeland Security Investigations were involved in the arrest.

Agnifilo insisted his client was ready to clear his name, saying, “Of course he will plead not guilty” as the case proceeds in federal court.
