4 people arrested after drug raid in Solon

SOLON, Maine (WABI) – Four people were arrested following a drug raid in Solon.

The Somerset County Sheriff's Office said they searched a home on South Solon Road around 10 a.m. Friday.

This was preceded by months of investigations into suspected drug trafficking in the house.

Officials added that some of the home's residents were involved in a fatal accident in Solon in early August.

Authorities seized $18,000 worth of suspected drug money, a loaded handgun, drug paraphernalia and documents.

Derek Sicard, 32, of Massachusetts, Sir Michael James, 47, of Rhode Island, and Cory Miller, 36, of Solon were charged with aggravated human trafficking.

Kaylee Cowan, 31, of Waterville was arrested on a Kennebec County warrant.

She will be transferred to the Kennebec County Jail.

James, Sicard and Miller are scheduled to appear in Somerset County Court in December.
