Weather in Boston, New England weather forecast – NBC Boston

It's hard to leave the weekend sunshine behind, so we've carried it over to Monday – and warm temperatures at that. And it's not just today. The warmest temperatures will be reached over the next two days as a summer high pressure system moves over New England.

Haze will be a major feature in the sky, along with remnants of wildfire smoke (a constant in our skies since early summer). Notable about the warm weather is the absence of moisture. Dew points will remain at 10 degrees Celsius, keeping the air comfortably dry and manageable.

Humidity will increase a little by mid-week as our giant high pressure system begins to crumble. This is the crux of the mid-week forecast. How much will it ease and allow the showers to creep in?

This particular forecast has a lot of uncertainty due to the potential tropical system to the south. It could wobble our way, but how much rain will make it here? We don't want to promise too many showers and end up with drizzle and clouds.

We'll see how it turns out, but in the meantime, enjoy the late summer temperatures.
