Popular actress Cobie Smulders, known from series such as “How I Met Your Mother” and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is taking on a new role. She joins the star cast of the second season of Fox's crime anthology “Accused.”

Fans can rejoice: Cobie Smulders, known to many for her role as Robin Scherbatsky in “How I Met Your Mother,” is returning to the screen. This time she will be seen in the second season of the successful crime anthology “Accused.” The series, inspired by the BAFTA-winning British original, tells a new, original story about crime and punishment every week, always from the perspective of the accused.

“Accused” Season 2: New cases, new faces

Smulders will play the title role in the episode “Val's Story”. In it, she will play a woman who is confronted with an unexpected tragedy when her ex-husband suffers a serious accident. In addition to Smulders, Vella Lovell (“Animal Control”) and Dina Shihabi (“Painkiller”) will also appear in this episode. The second season of “Accused” starts on October 8, 2024 on Fox in the USA. When and where the new edition will be shown in Germany is still unclear.
