Bedford County teacher arrested for alleged sex crimes against students

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – A Bedford County teacher has been arrested for alleged sex crimes against an underage student in Rockingham County.

The Bedford County Sheriff's Office has been notified of a possible sexual assault between a teacher and a student in Rockingham County.

The teacher is currently employed by Bedford County Public Schools and resides in Bedford County. Officials say he met the student while he was her teacher in another school division.

John Rose IV was arrested and charged with four counts of indecent acts with a child by a person in a custodial or supervisory relationship.

He is currently being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.

This incident remains under investigation.
