Taylor Swift | London police ease concerns over terror threat against Taylor Swift's Wembley Eras Tour concerts

According to the Metropolitan Police, there are “no indications” that Taylor Swift's performances as part of the “Eras Tour” at Wembley Stadium would be affected by the terrorist threat that led to the cancellation of her concerts in Vienna.

The 34-year-old singer's performances at the Ernst Happel Stadium were cancelled last week after two people were arrested in connection with a planned terrorist attack on the gigs, but London police have taken action to allay concerns ahead of Taylor's five-night stint at the venue, which begins next Thursday (15.08.24).

In a statement seen by PEOPLE, the Metropolitan Police said: “There is no indication that the matters being investigated by the Austrian authorities will have any impact on future events here in London.”

“(The city hosts) a significant number of high-profile events each year, providing millions of visitors with a safe and enjoyable experience.”

Officials said they will work closely with security teams and “other partners” to ensure appropriate safety measures are in place for the highly anticipated performances.

Police said: “As always, we will carefully review any new information.”

Meanwhile, heartbroken Swifties who missed the shows in Vienna were given a special opportunity to watch her concert film “Eras Tour.”

Disney has partnered with cable broadcaster ORF to air its Disney+ film as a free-to-air TV premiere on Saturday night (10.08.24), while the streaming service is also offering a limited-time free seven-day trial of Disney+ Premium for fans who want to stream the concert film starting August 10.

The Vienna Tourist Board provides information on Instagram about all the ways fans can enjoy the city after the cancelled concerts, including various free activities or reduced admission prices.

Those who were unable to attend the show were invited to a “crystal surprise” in the Swarovski Store at Crystal Worlds: On social media, fans revealed that they would be given a necklace from the brand with various pendants in a bag upon presentation of their unusable tickets.

However, due to overwhelming demand, the necklaces were sold out in the store, but fans were still offered a special discount.
